yup! so i figured my “top 5″ was false after i listened to somewhere around 15 other albums this year that surpassed almost all of my top 5 in every way. that’s why i’m doing this! for the next 12 days, the 12th being Christmas Day, i’m going to write a micro-review of an album i’ve thoroughly enjoyed that came out this year! so today’s album is….. Protest The Hero’s newest release, Fortress!!!! yay!!!! so now onto the review….
This album is epic on all accounts. That’s all there is to it. Epic guitar riffs, epic drumming, epic breakdowns, epic basslines, and even epic singing! Basically, if you’re into some metal, and enjoy some nice amazingness, this is the album for you. It’s got everything: solid instrumental sections, some catchy melodies, and some veryyy powerful moments (lots of those). I loved this album, and i think i’ve listened to it 3 times already this morning alone.
